Studio Updates

Meiko

Recently we were fortunate to host 106.1 The Corner and Myspace recording artist Meiko for an exclusive live audience performance and shoot. There were about 50 fans in the audience for an extraordinary evening. Check out clips from the show at Youtube.com/user/paladinpictures and keep an eye out for a DVD. A special thanks to Brad Savage for helping make this happen!

The Sometime Favorites

The recent winners of the Live and Local contest are in Little Rhodie’s studios working on the single, “Almost Gone”. Pre-production has been going well and the song is developing into something great. It may be a very different tune than what fans heard this summer from the live recordings. We should finish production soon and have it released exclusively with 106.1 The Corner this Fall.

John Byrnes - Wild Blue Angel Sessions

John Byrnes has been in, beginning a new project with Little Rhodie. Focusing as a trio, pre-production has led this project in a fun direction. We are focusing on a few songs for John to release as we prepare for some longer recording sessions. Look for the single “Wild Blue Angel” on the radio and online soon!

Live and Local with 106.1 The Corner

What a fun experience this has been for us this summer. We teamed up with Brad Savage and the entire Corner crew to create a truly unique and exciting contest to attach to it’s already popular show- Live and Local. We have been recording every Thursday night at the show and mixing the show down for radio play. In the early fall, 2008, they will hold a contest based off of the bands performance that night. The winner will get a release worthy single from us as well as a music video produced here at Paladin Media Group and Little Rhodie Productions. Thanks again to Brad, Jaclyn, Tad, Jeff and everyone else involved for the fun event! Visit 106.1 The Corner to hear the music we recorded with them and learn more about the contest!

Grey Matter

Tracking/ Mixing Sessions Grey Matter has been working hard with Dave Stipe in Little Rhodie’s studios for a while. The tracking has been exceptional. Tons of great playing from the band, and a very creative process in the recording. Mixing has been a fast and creative process. So many good parts in the music makes mixing even more exciting. Really looking forward to releasing this record early this fall. Should make a big impact in Charlottesville and through out the region.

Dustin Brayley- No Category

Dustin Brayley’s debut No Category was released early in 2008. Produced by Dave Stipe, the record was recorded mixed and mastered at Little Rhodie Productions. It featured Johnny Stubblefield of Sparky’s Flaw, as well as Keyboardist Brad Swanson, Teswar Wood on Bass and Sid Briggs on Guitar.
