The UVA Office of Student Affairs decided to create a video opening the dialogue between students, faculty and "corner merchants" on the importance of being an active bystander. Talking to students, faculty members and local business owners, Paladin directed and conducted sensitive interviews asking questions like "what does it mean to be part of a community?" and "What are your responsibilities?"
The UVA Darden School business communication class was tasked with producing a video that describes and explains the components of the growing national debt in the United States. The goal was to simplify a complex topic and make the content accessible and interesting for a general audience of 18 - 28 year olds. This is a group that is under-represented in the public discussion because they tend to be apathetic about voting for their political representatives. There was an added intent of making the film compelling enough to encourage those young viewers to become engaged in the political process.
Scitent, experts in helping companies grow their eLearning programs, needed to re-brand themselves as solutions providers — not just another eLearning program design company. As part of their new focus on a broader market of eLearning content creators, Scitent developed a new multi-tier service platform that also required branding. Crafting the right "message" could help Scitent expand their business from current non-profit clients and associations to for-profit businesses, and create confidence that Scitent could guide any company that has eLearning business opportunities.

Education is one of the biggest segments impacted by the internet. To maintain relevance and to garner exposure, Universities from around the world are producing educational and classroom content to be distributed free over the internet. The method used in this growing trend is to produce a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). The leading platforms for distribution of MOOCs are Coursera and iTunes U.
Larry Sabato, the Director of the UVA Center for Politics, and Teresa Sullivan, President of the University of Virginia decided that a MOOC based on Sabato's forthcoming book The Kennedy Half-Century would be the perfect topic for a new MOOC for the University. Larry Sabato's need was to make the MOOC compelling, engaging, and not merely just another talking-head lecture series so prolific in the MOOC market.
If you've ever had a child in the hospital you probably understand how challenging it can be for a parent and a family. So how do you make what can often be a stressful, painful situation into a more pleasant and less worrisome one? You begin with the facility itself and when the University of Virginia Health System set out to create their new Children's Hospital they took parents and their children into consideration with all of their decision making.
So then, how do you translate the vision of a beautiful, family-friendly, top-notch, children's hospital into a short film to promote the facility...which, by the way, is still under construction? That was the challenge we were presented with when we set out to tell the story of the new Battle Building at UVA's Children's Hospital.
General Electric, one of Paladin's long-time clients, needed a creative way to help sell their line of Steam Cycle Solutions to power plants around the globe. The University of Virginia Health System marketing group made an internal commitment to expand its presence on the internet. The use of video was a key component of their marketing plan. They needed quality digital video production professionals to partner with to create predominately web-based videos ranging from clinic overviews, patient testimonials, doctor profiles, and patient education pieces for different web properties.

Paladin was approached by Educational Media Consultants (EMC2) to act as the production house for this massive project. All 101 of the short films would need to be delivered within 6 months— and all on a very tight budget.
Sentara Healthcare opened it's new outpatient care center in Northern Virginia and was ready to advertise its new location to the general public.
